MILO + ASIA = Malaysia : Drinks in Malaysia

"Satu Me-lo Ice" ....wonder what this means?? ... well... read further .... Apparently MILO is the favourite "drink" of Malaysia. In case you are wondering what MILO is , just remember the last time you drank this nestle chocolate milk sensation. Its an addiction now. Its a hit here. You will find milo everywhere in all forms- liquid , solid( milo chocolate bars) and even gas( the milo aroma i mean) .. its pronounced "me-lo" .... So heres the case -- Whichever restoran you go to in Malaysia, and after whatever you eat there, you will be asked for "drinks" as a malaysian goodwill gesture... I was surprised when I was first asked for one , coz the only thot that crossed my mind then was "who the hell asks for 'drinks' after breakfast??" .... and you know what the "usual" drinks are right ?? needless to say .... i was suprised ... only then I realised drinks go much beyond the "usual" drinks here... evn water is treated as a "drink" ....WTF !!! .... and moreover drinking water is charged. Its actually a gud concept. Water conservation. Charge something and automatically it will be saved or used sparsely. But for chindi interners like us, it pays. :P ... neways got used to it.

Neslo is another tasty "drink" discovery. this is wat it is . Neslo = Necafe + Milo. It is a valid drink so to say... just that it is much apt to drink a hot neslo on a rainy day ....its an awesum feeling... nothing like it.. and rest theres our normal coffee(kopi), horlicks, and all possible permutations and combinations of these ... like coffee+ milo( kopi'o), horlicks + milo (horliks 'o) etc etc ...

Tea has an awesum name here - Tehtarik ... sounds weird... but tastes like the usual masala tea with hell a lot of spices. Theres no "cutting chai" here ... the glass tea quantity is enough to inflate the tummy. Worth tasting once.

Now this is a fact. Every cough syrup has some percentage of alcohol in it. and every person has sometime or the other had it in their life to supress their cough. Still people deny to have consumed alcohol in their life. Neways, Drinking is BAD for health.Seriosly.

Theres one more thing worth mentioning. CARLSBERG. Its something :P . It is actually worth mentioning . Credit to the first timers. Thank you Parth :)

Ok.Now the non-drinks part. Parth had come for the weekend from Penang,USM. He spent the weekend with us. Neways, it was worth becomin a Ghana fan for a night ..Well .. It was a FIFA + McD(french fries :P ) + Pizza Hut nightout at KL- Bukit Bintang. It was worth every minute. A tight match, surrounding carlsberg, (free)nch fries, coffee, foot massage salons everywhere ... a lively place ... apt for KL nitelife. Ultimately Ghana won. The fact remains - "It doesnt matter if you are black or white". Racists suck :P :P

The weekend earlier was Genting Highlands. Infi fun. enjoyed the genting weekend,especially the chopsticks on fathers day thing. Will never forget the casino and the chinese who helped me earn 4 RM.

Meanwhile my Mom Dad are on a Malaysia and Singapore tour. Met them over this weekend. Bliss :) . Thank you Mom Dad for everything. Just want to see you smiling , nothing else matters in this world.

Gotta hairdo once here. these curls r getting out of my control. But gotta pay 150 INR for the most simplest haircut :( ... neways ... will have to sometime coz have to give a presentation next week on our project work.

Meanwhile "Satu Me-Lo Ice" means -- 1 milo ice ... a "drink" served in almost all restorans in Malaysia.

So next time you go to a restoran in Malaysia, do say " Me-lo Ice " ... You will LOVE it !!!
